How to track events without event module

I'm curious as ways one might track events without having the event module. We have about two small events a year. I've been entering people who were invited as a constituent attribute category "special mailing group," and then the attribute description as the date and title of the event. If they attend I've been adding an action for the date of the event. However, it seems that this is a clunky way of managing the information and it would be hard to query on the constitutuents who did attend the event unless you happen to know its date. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

We don't have event either and we set up our events as appeals and then we use the mail function to associate the appeal (invitees) to their record. We can further use package to break down sponsorship levels, tickets, auction, and donations so we know who contributed at what level in an appeal report.

How to track events without event module-online registration?

Hi, We have the Event Module but I am considering dropping it due to "too much for little use" of it. But, do you all allow event registrations online? And if so, I am assuming that you don't use Net Event to do this....do you use an alternative Thanks! Tami Lee Database Manager Madison Children's Museum [Email Removed]

How to track events without event module-online registration?

Hi, We use Get Active for our email messaging, donations, and event registration. It's a good service but integrating the data with Raiser's Edge is not simple. There are other online event-registration only services available; techsoup.org has a comparison sheet of different ones. If we could afford it, we'd use Raiser's Edge :)
