We are at a stand still. Still won't figure calculations. Waiting for BB to fix some programing errors.

We have it up and running. But it difficult to navigate and takes longer to do the things you want.

Did you convert? Did you have a problem calculating? Did they have to fix any bugs for you?

We converted 11/18/2005 and they are still fixing the bugs. I'd wait awhile longer before converting. They are fixing things, but it has been a constant process since Nov. I wish we had waited until after the new year. Still can't get the W-2s to print right.

    PRINTING W-2'S

Any solution to W-2's not lining up? On the 4 up form Blackbaud's alignment mechanism has no effect. We upgraded last night to V.7 and now the whole system is down. Financial Edge and payroll.

    PRINTING W-2'S

I didn't have a problem with W2s but am on V6. But, anyone successfully create the magnetic media file for PA on V6? Knowledge base recommends upgrading - but after seeing some of your comments I'm not willing to do that! Thanks! Paula Kistler Lock Haven University Foundation Lock Haven, PA 570.893.2298

    Payroll 7

We converted in November as well...they are constantly fixing with patches and plug ins, so they are working on our problems. We are having terrible problems with accuracy. The have W-2's but there is incorrect information ...it seems to have a problem with pretax deductions. Figuring taxable wages and Social Security wages and getting that info to the tax preparer is not working. I think we'll have to find a way to review history in each employee and manually calculate to find where the errors are....Any suggestions on what to run and how to approach this problem would be welcomed.

We converted in November as well.. same with us as far as patches goes. The W-2's printed but the consumer's ss and med taxable wages is off by one payroll due to the conversion depending on the tax settings.

We also converted in November. I will never forget the date. Pay period ending 11/18/2005. We have had problems ever since. In order to get my year end reports out. I took the last good pay period with a YTD figure, created a spreadsheet Gross to net and made a tab for each pay period. I started with the last good YTD figure I had and entered the figures for each pay period until I got to 12/31/2005. I linked all the tabs together to get my final YTD figure. Then I calculated things as they should be to catch any figures that were incorrect(we make copies of all checks and only had a total of 34 W-2s to send out. This was the only thing I could think of doing to make sure all was correct and get my W-2s out. Possibly you could do an export to excel and get started that way. Good luck. They are still fixing things for us. I think we will drag out feet next time they have a new payroll version.

Our organization was in the process of setting up the software of Payroll 7. But, with seeing all the problems everyone else was having we decided to put the conversion on hold. However, we have a small subsidiary company with 11 employees we thought we'd put them on Payroll 7 and see what happens. It would be easier to fix 11 employees rather than 370. I have had at least 10 years of experience with some Blackbaud products and never have I seen so many problems. My first experience with Blackbaud was when an orgainzation I was with at the time, decided to scrap the accounting software they had...Blackbaud had just come out with their windows product. Of course there were some bugs..but they were "johnny-on-the-spot" when it came to tech support. These forums are great.

I was wonder what everybody else’s System statistics look like for Payroll. When I talk to Blackbaud support I feel like we are one of the biggest companies running their payroll version 6.We went live with Payroll in April of 2003 and since then we have 2,544 employees, ran 37,544 checks. We have 1,919 red/deds and 4,211 other pays. We normally run 4 or more payrolls a month depending on how many weeks in it, and our biggest payroll for the month usually has between 400 and 700 checks in it. Are there any other users out there that have statistics as big as ours?
