Biweekly Pay Schedule in Payroll 7

I am working with a client to implement Payroll7. They use a biweekly payroll schedule. The pay period for the first payroll of 2006 (pay date of 1/6/06) is 12/18/2005 to 12/31/2005. We have been unsuccessful in creating a biweekly pay schedule that will work across the calendar year. We have tried both the biweekly and a custom schedule. Has anyone set up pay schedules similar to this? If so, how did you overcome crossing the years? --- Edited at 12/2/2005 6:21:03 PM by Scott Fortnum

We have this exact pay schedule, but I don't understand the problem you are having "crossing the years." If you are worried about getting the expense into theright years, this is simply accrual accounting - we do any "crossover" expense issues through reversing journal entries. Your accounting staff or CPA should be able to handle this with no problem.
