    Plaquing Project

Good afternoon. I have been given the task of creating a master database of all plaques in our healthcare facility as well as developing a policy and proccedure for plaquing. I would greatly appreciate it if those of you who have a written policy and/or procedure for plaquing, if you could share it with me. I eventually would like to bring this information into Raiser's Edge (once the data has been verified) and attach it to the donor record. If any of you have done that and could share how you have done it, attributes vs. notes etc. I would appreciate it. Plaquing Project

Hi Robert, We just completed our Plaque Project. We have many donor walls in the hospital and we sometime have a hard time locating plaques, especially old ones. This past summer we hired a student to take pictures of all the plaques. We documented them and put them in a binder, together with other naming opportunities in the hospital. We stored the location and type of plaque in the Attributes tab and the picture of the plaque is linked as a jpeg file in the Media tab. If you want a copy of our policy and procedure, send me your email address at [Email Removed]. Rose Benavidez Database Coordinator Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation of Toronto [Email Removed]

    Plaquing Project

Hi Rose and Robert, Was just browsing the RE Forum and noticed Robert's posting of Sept. 2006 regarding plaques and Rose's reply. We have a Gallery of Honor for our donors and a Memorial Board for deceased persons who have received $1,000.00 in their memory. We also have plaques located at different sites throughout our hospital. I have noticed this past year that some plaques have disappeared and even one room was changed (therefore the plaque on the room is incorrect!!) I have most everything coded in our database but still have some clean-up to do. And then I have the major project of moving donors up to a higher level on our Gallery of Honor. And I would absolutely love to see your policy and procedure on Plaque Project!! Would it be possible for you to e-mail something to me?? Also, do either you or Robert have a procedure for "moving donors up to a higher plaque level?" Thanks! Carol Carol D'Angelo Database Manager Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Foundation
