    Automated Notification

The dev officers have requested that I set up a system that will generate a notification letter to a donor when gifts are made to a particular scholarship fund. The scenario: We have an organization record: Conery Scholarship. Sean Conery’s individual record is linked to the Conery Scholarship record via relationship – benefactor-endowed scholarship. Mr. Robert Stanford makes a gift to the Conery Scholarship. Mr. Conery receives a notice letting him know that a gift was made to his scholarship by Mr. Stanford. I have wracked my brain for a while now trying to figure out how to manage this – any and all suggestions are more than appreciated. We have over 300 endowed scholarships in the db that have benefactors connected to them, so a manual process would be almost impossible to navigate, manage and remember who-what-where….. Apologies for those receiving this on cross-postings. Thanks! Elaine Elaine Tucker [Email Removed] Texas Lutheran University

How about creating a query that checks for new gifts every day to the fund? Set it up in a queue that runs nightly. Peter Gulka NAIT Development Office Edmonton AB Canada email: [Email Removed]

I'm going the Honor/Memorial Route since we have the tribute module, but WILL set up the acknowledgements to run nightly/weekly/monthly (depending on what the D.O.'s decree :) ). Thanks for the queue suggestion, I had forgotten! (imagine that LOL) Elaine Elaine Tucker [Email Removed] Texas Lutheran University
