Students that leave, not considered non-grad alums

If you have current students in the database as I do, what do you do with them if they leave early and do not graduate? For example, you may have a kindergartner who only stays for that year. Do you delete them from the database? I plan on keeping the parent in the database, keeping the student in their relations tab, but removing the student.

That is common in our school. We keep everyone in. Database Manager McLean School of MD > --- Edited at 7/6/2005 1:12:52 PM by Scott Fortnum

We never delete a student record. We put an end date on the "Student" constituency and add a second constituency code "attended-did not graduate)" on the top row. This code would be different than a "non-grad alum" code in that you would not include it in alumni reports and mailings. Mark F.
