I am interested how other schools keep track of students that have sent in the re-enrollment forms for the coming school year. Is there some way that is part of the software to show who has re-enrolled and who has not re-enrolled? We start our re-enrollment in February and it would be nice to have an easy way to show who has not enrolled yet.

Create a Excel spreadsheet and make your headers the status of renenrollment and then type a date into the box for each student as their status changes

I have set up extra grades I call "A grades". A student who has sent in a contract for 6th grade will have a grade 6A. His classmate who has not sent in a contract yet will have a grade 5. Though it takes a little time to set up, I find it well worth it. I changed the promotion schedule to have grade 5 promote to 99 and grade 6A to promote to grade 6. This way anyone who does not reenroll will automatically be changed to "left school". I do a global change to change the status. By using the A grade you can tell if a student is reenrolled without even opening the file. Just look at the grade in the search screen. It saves a huge amount of time when I am asked if I have someone's contact back yet. You also have to modify your queries to include the A grade. A search for 5th graders would be grades 5 & 6A.

We set up an attribute called Contract 05/06 When a deposit is paid, it is entered in the student record with the date and any comments needed. Then you can use a query to print a list of all who have paid or those who haven't paid.
