    License Issues in Patron's Edge

    Has anyone had this problem?  When the box tries to log into PE it says it can't get a license and asks to go to restricted mode. We checked everything and the licenses are not being used. Has anyone been able to resolved this problem? We are running out of ideas as it why this happened. We recently upgraded to 3.4.  We have a show tonight and the box office needs to be operational.

    Holy Diane, that sucks! Have you gotten it resolved? I've been trying to just get our 3.4 update to work since November 21, 2009 with no luck at all : (

    When I have had this issue in the past it is normally caused by too many licenses being used at once.  I normally find that someone from another department OTHER then the BO has PE open and forgotten to close it so I give them the big boot.

    Hopefully you got this worked out though.

      Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

     In addition to the license manager, you might try manager portal. It has some settings that allow you to drop a license that might not be showing up (I had this problem with someone who got a new computer, but was apparently logged into the program on their old computer!)

    Also you can change which kind of licenses each user will use:

    Full: The default license mode. This allows access to all Patron Edge functionality within a user's profile

    Restricted: This license mode allows access to Administration and CRM, but does not have the ability to make sales

    Temporary: Equivalent to a Full license but expires on a specified date.
