    VBA Module

Hi, Has anyone used the VBA module? If yes what have you used it for and is it worth investing in learning how to use it?

I am familiar with VB so VBA falls into place but i am not sure on exactly how we (University of Westminster) would use it.  If you have any simple source code which i could look at or test out that would be brill.  It would also be good to look at any policies and procedures on how to run the VBA code within a query, event or throughout the whole database.

I believe API's also fall under this catagory so any help on that would be brill.

    Thanks.

     Kind Regards,

      -Hemal Khanderia (Database Officer)

    Re: VBA Module

If you have not done so already take a look at our website: http://www.zeidman.info. There are numerous examples of organisations that have used VBA and the API to enhance Raiser's Edge through integrating with other applications and databases, through using VBA to interact with a record on opening or saving it or to improve RE's existing functionality such as a global alias deleter or global change of adjustments or ammendments.

You can also look at my blog which has a number of code examples. http://www.re-decoded.com

I would be happy to call you and discuss any of the different possibilities that are open to you and customisations that we have done for other organisations.
