    HEOA textbook requirement

Has anyone come up with a way to fulfill the HEOA textbook requirement of listing textbook ISBN and price within your SIS course/class listings in NetClassroom?  Follett Bookstores have a product/system called BookLook, and we're hoping it will work.  Has anyone tried this or something else?

    Re: HEOA textbook requirement

     Hi Jeanette,

I don't have NetClassroom but I have implemented BookLook with another web based program and it was pretty straightforward. In fact, my contact at Follett gave me the code. I would think you could get the code for NetClassroom.

Basically, I have another column on the course information page that is a link to our bookstore. The only thing Follett needed from me was the format of our semester strings (we use 2 digit year followed by a "/" followed by 2 letters indicating the semester, I told them "10/SP" for this spring semester). It brings the student right to the book information for that section of the course. It's pretty slick. I set it up so it opens a new page.

    HTH,
