The University is looking to purchase to Volunteer module to help manage our alumni volunteer programs.  I was wondering if anyone had input on the worth of the module and pros and cons of its funtionality.  I would appreciate your opinion of it so i can better make a decision. Thank you!

 We have the volunteer module at our organization. I am not necessarily a big fan of it since I really do not see what major purpose it serves. I feel if you had a really big and very active volunteer program, it could be of use, but if volunteers are used sporadically and not on a regular basis, I feel it is not worth it. Also for it to work properly, you must take time to decide what functions you will use, how you will use it and the naming of various fields such as jobs, categories, etc. otherwise it will not work to your advantage. I just do not happen to be a big fan of it, it just seems to be more work to input information compared to what you actually get out of  it.
