    Cost Allocation Module

We want to use the Project ID field for grants reporting purposes, and we were hoping to use FE's Cost Allocation Module to automatically allocate (or associate) a certain percentage of an expense to a Project ID. For example, we would like to set up FE to automatically allocate a certain individual's salary among three Project IDs (i.e., grants). Is anyone else using this module this way? How did you set it up to automatically do this? Thanks, Dakila

Would be eager to find if you got any answers to your question. We are trying to achieve the same thing.

    Cost Allocation Module

We didn't buy the cost allocation module, because the consultant told us it worked better for allocating income from consolidated investments. We really need something to allocate salary and benefits to projects. Right now we have a spreadsheet with the dollar information (payroll is outsourced) and monthly the staff tell us what percent to charge which project. The linked pages of the spreadsheet create the dollar entries which we then have an Excel template for an FE batch which we import monthly. It's cumbersome at best and takes several hours a month to prepare. Any suggestions would be helpful. -- Thanks Robin

    Cost Allocation Module

They revamped the Cost Allocation module this last year. I haven't gotten it yet, but you might want to take another look at it.
