We have been users of the Raiser’s Edge for many, many years but have only recently acquired the Planned Giving module.  We are trying now to configure the tables that will allow us to take full advantage of the whole system and looking to experienced PG module users to provide some examples of table options and best practices so we can move forward smoothly.

Any useful suggestions will be happily rewarded with chocolate so don’t be shy.

Specifically, we are interested in recommendations for how to configure these tables:

1.         Gift Subtype(do you use them for all planned gift?  how does that tie into Vehicles?)

2.         Vehicles

3.         Planned Gift Status

4.         Attribute Category

5.         Fund Category

6.         Fund Type

7.         Appeal Category

8.         Appeal codes (are you using them for all planned gifts?)

9.         Package codes
