We are continually having the problem of getting returned mail that already has the "send mail" check unchecked under the address tab. I am having a hard time finding where in the export function that I can exclude these records from being pulled into the export. We also use the "no valid address" feature on the Bio 1 tab.. but in some cases it is not checked.
Is the "no valid address" feature the only feature that excludes these participants from receiving mail?
Is the "Send Mail" check mark only for visual purposes and not exporting purposes?
Thanks for any help!

Lisa, the "send mail" check box is not for visual purposes only . When I run envelopes from mail if the box is not checked I get only constituent name, no address on my envelopes.
In export, you can export the "send mail" field and then clean up/delete any records that do not have it checked Output >> Address >> Preferred Address >> Send mail to this address.
In my experience export is going to export all the records, good, bad and ugly. By exporting the right fields, I can clean up my export file.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Thank you Naomi and JoAnn! This information really helps.
