Overview: The IS Analyst is a key member of a dynamic Brigham and Women's Hospital DevelopmentTeam, servicing Fundraising professionals on matters related to use of the fundraising database, webbasedfundraising tools, and other applications as required.
Essential Functions Include:
Applicant must have a strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be ableto effectively communicate and be a self-starter. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously,managing and negotiating deadlines as needed.
1. Work closely with end-users to assist in areas ranging from general knowledge of the fundraisingapplication to specific support in developing queries and reports to match business requirements
2. Oversee application security
3. Design and write department and user specific reports via application report tools or CrystalReports. Oversee the development of reports that may be developed for Partners affiliate-wide use ofapplications
4. Manage the integrity of data within the fundraising applications via controls, process, andrecommendations for additional user training
5. Assist users in identification of system defects; log using internal systems and oversee correctiveaction for resolution
6. Lead Development Intranet work group and maintain overall structure of intranet
7. Assist user departments in preparing business case for IT/IS requests
8. Ability to develop and clarify business requirements and specifications for system related projectsthat ensure business needs are met in an efficient manner
9. Assist with systems-related training where necessary
10. Perform integration testing of new systems or enhancements prior to user acceptance testing
11. Develop user test cases, facilitate acceptance testing, and issue resolution procedures
12. Evaluate third-party software products to meet the business and technical requirements of thedepartment; coordinate vendor activities when applicable
13. Assist Manager, Information Systems with analysis of requests for new technology and/orenhancement to existing applications
14. Participate in the WebDev project, an internal e-philanthropy project utilizing a third-party webbased application

Requirements
Qualifications Include:
1. 3-5 years experience as a technical project manager or systems analyst
2. Previous work experience in software development, consulting or similar role a plus
3. Microsoft SQL Server and Reporting Services experience
4. Crystal Reports experience
5. Excellent analytical and planning skills
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as demonstrated presentation,organizational, facilitation and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, strong aptitude to translate business requirements intodetailed specifications and technical verbiage into easily understood for business users' language8. Independent decision-making, good judgment and ability to execute multiple assignments at anygiven time
9. Ability to achieve consensus amongst a group; resolve conflict
10. Strong Microsoft Office Skills
11. General knowledge of business processes and the systems that support them - e.g. HR, Finance,CRM, Fundraising, etc.
Educational Level:
Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in business operations, information systems or technology
