Is there a way to change the gift type without deleting and reentering the gifts?  For example, I need to change a gift type from Other to Cash.

I believe the only way is to export the gifts, make the change and import.  Best way if it is a whole batch.

The only way is to delete it and add again if it's a single gift. For a multiple gifts you could export and import them back but it's a lot of work and you would loose batch number anyway.

Oh, if it was only as simple as globally changing the date...

Really export/import is not that much of a hassle - just query the gifts you want to change - output the gift import ID and the gift type field - export to a .CSV file - change Other to Cash and use a Gift Import to replace the exsisting information.  Contact me directly if you need further instructions.
