    Job Title:  Manager, Gift Management

    Term: Full-time (new)

    Location & Summary: Toronto, ON

    Are you an excellent relationship builder that strives to put your professional stamp on all your work?  Have you worked in a full service gift management shop?  Do you have proven experience managing a team dedicated to excellence?

    This is a management level position responsible for all aspects of gift management from receiving the gifts, entering, receipting and acknowledging them all while ensuring the integrity of the data.  This is a high volume, fast paced professional team with a challenging mandate.   We are looking for an experienced manager to work within our supportive team.  Innovation and efficiency will be key to the success of this department through planning, managing outputs and priorities and guidelines.

    Essential Duties entail (but not limited to):

    • Defines and monitors measurable performance and standards. Ensures continuous improvement of existing practices and that the department operates efficiently
    • Trains, motivates and supervises all support staff
    • Ensures accurate data entry of all constituents, gifts, receipt information, events information from all sources: mail, on-line, recurring and events
    • Develops budgetary planning, daily operations, and future workflows in adherence to established policies, guidelines, and procedures
    • Keeps current on changing data processing needs of users and makes appropriate work scheduling, administrative, and/or hardware recommendations necessary to meet these needs.
    • Works collaboratively with other CNIB departments and processing teams to strategically review, streamline, and standardize guidelines and procedures
    • Manages storage procedures for gift source documentation
    • Liaises with the Finance Department to ensure that closing deadlines are met, gifts are entered appropriately and the year end audit is supported
    • Supports the Project Management Office test systems
    • Conducts cost/benefit analyses in support of recommended technology or process changes and improvements

    Qualifications: (Education, Training, Experience)

    • College Diploma in Business Administration or University Degree in Business, Social Sciences or Humanities
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of donor database management systems, preferably The Raiser's Edge, gift processing, acknowledgement and receipting
    • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and mentor staff, with minimum 5 years supervisory experience
    • Excellent planning, analytical and organization skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
    • Superior interpersonal/influencing skills sufficient to quickly develop a rapport with internal and external customers, uncover their needs, and handle customer concerns
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
    • Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency guidelines with respect to donations, receipting and source documents

    Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience
