We are considering switching from Convio NetCommunity because of Convio's limited integration with Raiser's Edge and would appreciate any information on how the implementation process went, what the benefits or problems to switching were and how the product has worked to bettered your site (and fundraising).
Any insight would be helpful and appreciated,

Hi Tony:
We just switched from Convio's Get Active product. We're still learning the ropes on NetCommunity, which is making for some slow processing of gifts. Once we have the system down, though, I think it's going to work out well for us.
My department manages our website, so building that out was quite time consuming for us. We're happy with the way that it turned out.

I've worked with a lot of clients that have moved from Convio to NetCommunity and for the most part they have been very happy. I think your organization would be very wise to make the switch. However, I have heard of mixed success in getting out of the Convio contract early. If you give me a call, I can give you the names of some of those clients that have made the switch. Perhaps there is someone in their agencies that would be able to give your staff more specific tips.

We are in the process of implementing NetCommunity in place of Convio for the same reasons. The data integration with Convio was horrendous and impossible and we lost a lot of valuable staff time to data entry during our busiest online fundraising months. The ease of integration between Raiser's Edge and NetCommunity was one of the main reasons we made the switch. We haven't gotten everything up and running just yet but I am looking forward to getting that staff time back and using the program to the fullest potential.
