There is a lot of flexibility in The Financial Edge when assigning account security to users.  You have 4 options for selecting what type of account security you would like to assign as seen below:

If you use one of the "Selected Access" options, you then can choose from either Query, Range, or Selected as shown below.  "Query" allows you to use criteria to group together accounts in a variety of ways (Fund or Dept, for example).  "Range" allows you to enter a range of account numbers.  "Selected" allows you to enter specific account numbers.

This same type of security can also be done for Projects on the Project Security tab.
