Re: FAWeb Support Roundtable Topic Poll

I appreciate your willingness to accept input from users on FAWEB. Thank you.

    Here are my ideas.
    1. Comment Approval changes. Approvers should be able to see skill ratings of students in addition to comments. If a student receives a low rating in some skill (such as citizenship, for example) our teachers are expected to address that low mark in their narrative comment. Approvers do not need to be able to change skill ratings - just view. Make the student photo available to comment reviewers on the review page. Some people have so many students at my school that having the student photo would be helpful.
    2. Student View change. Please make it possible for teachers in student view to enter skill ratings for their students using the short rating scale (ex 1, 2, 3) instead of the long rating scale (Exceeds Expectations, Meets Expectations, Need Improvement)
    3. FAWEB Administration change. Please make it possible to query the FAWEB grade fields (prior to posting) for teachers who have not done their grades, comments or skill ratings. The current system of running the preprocessing report is too cumbersome and does not give enough detail on which students are missing what informatios. It would be much easier to run a query or build a report to find out what info is missing.
    4. FAWEB Administration change. Please make it possible for teachers to write "emergency reports" or reports that are out of the regular marking column cycle. Right now this is not possible and students don't always fail on cue.
    5. NetClassroom changes. Please allow us to post custom grade reports and transcripts. The canned reports are not that flexible. Being able to use our own reports will help alot. Also, we should be able to post multiple reports so that parents and students can track student progress throughout the school year.

Re: FAWeb Support Roundtable Topic Poll

     Hey Mark!

Thanks so much for your terrific suggestions! Check out our FAWeb Ideabank, where you can add your suggestions as well as vote on other submitted suggestions. It's a great place to see what's been implmented in our software straight from us.

You can query on daily grades and marking column grades in The Education Edge versions 7.75 and higher, which may give you the information you need without running the preprocessing report.

     Thanks again for your feedback!

     -Katie
