Setting up Campaigns, Funds and Appeals

    Hi,

We are reviewing our RE structure to enhance reporting and I am wondering how other nonprofits use Campaigns, Funds, and Appeals. To date, we have used appeals for tracking how revenues come in, and the funds to represent revenue streams. I know of other organizations that use funds to denote how the money is going to be used (operating, temporarily restricted, restricted).

Both our finance team and development team want to keep the structure simple.

Any insight would be of great help.

    Hey Martie,

I know this is a best practices question for users at other organizations, but I wanted to share Knowledgebase solution BB3184 with you. The solution gives an overview of how to use Campaigns, Funds, and Appeals.

    Hope this helps!
