How do you track primary alumni information for graduates with both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from your institution? The alums want to remain affiliated with both groups but RE does not make it possible to have two primary alumni records (one undergrad and one grad) nor does it enable the recording of more than one degree and class year on the primary education record. Surely someone with a master's program has a system for how they track both degrees and I would find that most helpful. Thanks.

 Hi LuAnn,

 We have always defaulted to the primary alum record being for the first degree received from here. When we have people with 2 degrees from the college, we create 2 education records and the undergraduate degree is the primary alum record.

 If you create 2 education records, when pulling people for graduate degrees, you could pull anyone with an education record meeting your criteria as opposed to just looking for primary education records.

We have a business rule for people with 2 degrees from our school as well. Whenever someone goes to open one of those records they are aware that the person has 2 (or more) degrees from us.

 This has worked well for us.
