    Position Available – Foundation Database ManagerNorthern Michigan Regional Hospital Foundation raises funds for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and programs that help Northern Michigan Regional Hospital achieve its mission of providing healthcare as we expect for our own family.Northern Michigan Regional Hospital is situated in Petoskey, Michigan on the shores of Little Traverse Bay, gateway to Lake Michigan. Petoskey offers an idyllic way of life in a recreational paradise where golfing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting, cycling, and other opportunities abound.The Foundation Database Manager reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for the following:§  Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Foundation databases, including data input/output, technology management which includes:  programming, database segmenting, prospect profiling in demographics and psycho-graphics§  Managing moves management and Wealthpoint software along with end-user training and support.  §  Oversees high quality donor research information for meetings, events and strategy planning with senior staff and board members as well as finding prospects for future gifts§  The Development Associate and Research Specialist reports to the Database Manager. Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Philanthropy, Business or equivalent related experience required.   Experience:  Minimum of 5 years related experience with computers (including all Microsoft Office products), and database management, Raisers Edge products, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Also prefer experience in philanthropy.   Other Job Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.  Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in a written format. Must possess skills in expressing ideas and providing information to others and eliciting same. Must be able to organize and prioritize work, make independent decisions, resolve problems, direct multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively and efficiently under tight timelines. Proficient in Raisers Edge, searching on-line databases and the Internet. Proficient in database administration, prospect and constituent management, data imports and exports and developing reports.
