The Katonah Museum of Art (www.katonahmuseum.org) seeks a Development/Membership Manager for a full-time permanent position to oversee all membership and gift activity. Development/Membership Manager will work closely with the Director of Development on all fundraising activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Serve as point person for all membership inquiries and oversee membership activity of over 1,200 members.
-Manage all incoming gifts and acknowledgments, including accurately entering gift into database, writing acknowledgment letter, and filing paperwork.
-Work with the Director of Finance to ensure that gifts in the two databases are entered correctly and allocated to appropriate appeal.
-Serve as the liaison to internal art organization.
-Administrate monthly membership renewals/drops.
-Work with the Membership Committee to help steward and maintain relationships with donors and ensure fulfillment of benefits.
-Coordinate cultivation/fundraising events including exhibition openings, parties, benefits, luncheons, concerts, day trips, international trips, etc.
-Produce membership and gift reports from database as required.
-Manage visitor information acquired at front desk and prepare reports and graphs to present to Marketing Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Adept Raisers Edge knowledge A MUST!
-Bachelor’s Degree required.
-Superior computer skills required; knowledge of all Microsoft applications, including excel, word, and access.
-Must communicate well with staff, Board members, volunteers and supporters at all levels and be able to present and explain concepts efficiently and clearly.
-Exemplary oral and written communications skills.
-Must have desire to promote Museum’s mission by providing superior customer service to members and donors.
-Technically proficient, organized, detail-oriented and able to create statistical reports of membership and donation data, and juggle multiple tasks and projects.
-Willingness to work irregular hours, including some weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
