    Staff Accountant – Financial ServicesThis individual will perform the necessary duties for maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial statements, providing internal and external support for audit and regulatory reporting in coordination with other Financial Services staff.   Accounting experience with non-profit organizations and fund accounting is highly desirable.

    Located in the high desert and bordered by the Three Sisters’ mountains, Central Oregon offers miles of hiking and biking trails, world class skiing at Mt. Bachelor, and white-water rafting and fishing on the Deschutes River.  Our communities provide cultural celebrations and events, along with upscale shopping and eateries.

     At St. Charles Medical Center – Bend, St. Charles Medical Center – Redmond, and Pioneer Memorial Hospital – Prineville, our hospitals embody a unique healing power.  We are excited about our Bend campus’ state of the art Mother and Child Center,   the $30 million expansion to the Redmond campus in 2006, and the new partnership of Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville.  We are equally excited about the technological advances of our Bend facility, the new enhanced, state of the art surgical facilities of our Redmond campus, and the small-town one on one patient care available in Prineville.  No matter which hospital location, you’ll find some of the most renowned programs and services in the nation. 

    Compensation:  $45,200 to $67,800, depending upon experience.

    QUALIFICATIONS:Education:  Bachelor degree in accounting or finance and five years of work-related experience, or comparable combination of education and work-related experience.  CPA preferred. Registration:  Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) membership preferred.
    Experience:  Healthcare experience preferred.  Experience with Non-Profit Organizations and Fund Accounting highly preferred.     Job Knowledge:  Demonstrated working knowledge of basic accounting principles, experience with general ledger and other accounting software.  Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Demonstrated experience in critical thinking and problem solving skills.
