Healthcare Foundation ~ Fundraising ~ what to continue?

In this economy we have stopped the type of fundraising that we have done in previous years.

What are you folks doing out there?

    What have you stopped?

What have you continued to do?

It is business as usual. We have actually stepped up our fund raising efforts by adding a few small events (Hosted dinner parties by high-level donors or Board Members inviting high level prospects). We have actually upgraded one of our direct mail pieces to be a brochure mailing as opposed to a letter with reply slip.

There are some great forums on Link'din, yahoogroups, etc. with what others are doing. AHP & The Chronicle of Philanthropy also have some great stuff out there.

Check out Marc Pitman & Mal Warwick's sites - try Blue Avocado's site as well for some good articles

Absolutely not!! We are facing major budget cuts & need donations more than ever. We have stopped sending out as many communications (newsletters), but are continuing direct mail appeals & fundraising events (including galas). Some guild events have exceeded their totals from last year! Of course, our technology budget was hit hard, so we're doing it all without the bells & whistles we'd hoped for (BBNC). We are becoming a lean & mean fundraising machine ;o)
