hi -
I have a dynamic query, "Donors Giving $500 or more YTD", for our constituents who have given individual gifts of $500 or more.
Here's my problem - I cannot figure out how to include in that same query our constituents who have no individual gifts equaling $500, yet have given individual gifts that ytd add up to $500 or more?
How do I construct my query to show ytd all donors who have given cumulatively $500 or more?
tia!
ps - I am a newbie at this query stuff so feel free to be very specific
Teresa,
I'm guessing that your criteria is 'gift' > 'greater than or equal' to $500.
I suggest removing that criteria and going to 'summary information' (next to last listed category of query criteria). Here choose 'summary for gift' then 'total amount of gifts'. Again on this criteria choose your filter of ''greater than or equal' to $500. On filter tab you may need to define 'gift type.' I use 'one of...' cash, pay-cash etc - not including any pledges as my individual / monthly gifts are generally pledge payments.
This should get you the desired result.
Don't forget you will still need to define the gift date criteria also if you want YTD.
