    entering a batch

We have just upgraded to 7.91

When I'm entering a batch and have finished entering gifts-if my cursor is in the next blank line-I get a message saying, Required Field Missing: Fund

I have to delete the blank line before I can print my report.   Any ideas?  Thanks

I'm getting the same thing.  When I click on the fund, it lets me go ahead with the validation report and committing the batch.  It's really annoying.  It's only been happening since the upgrade to 7.91.

Do you have any default fields setup that are automatically populating when you get into that row?  If so that is causing the system to think that you are trying to enter a gift on that row so that you are missing the fund.  You can either continue deleting or not letting your cursor go to the next row.  Or you can change your user options so that the default values don't go into the fields until you get to that field.  To do this go to Tools, User Options, then on the Batch tab.

     Hope that helps!

It's happening without default fields assigned and on the same line in batch - without going to the next line.  It's also happening intermittantly and I've been trying to duplicate it this morning with some test batches and have not been able to duplicate it yet.  I'll bet the next "real" batch I do, it will happen again.

I take that back - it does only happen when tabbing to the next line.  Still, no defaults are set up in batch.   I'll play around with user options.

But it shouldn't Smile if I'm understand your problem.

I use defaults in almost all my batches.  We have not updated to 7.91 yet so I haven't run into this problem.  In 7.85 you can have a line at bottom of batch with no constituent entered and save/commit/sort batch with no problem.  Have gotten error message only after being on that line and tabbing off constituent field or starting to enter data and trying to move to a different record.
