Are there any organizations out there that already has a policy in place for utilizing volunteers to enter donor information, update donor information, enter notes, action notes, etc. but not gift batch (cash, credit card, pledge, etc.)?  If so, I would like to know about your confidentiality or security policy; how your organization ensures that your data will not be compromised.

We have just started allowing a highky trusted volunteer (also our board of trustees chair) to enter constituent batch data. She is unable to commit the batches as we quality check and review for duplicates prior to processing. It has worked wonderfully.
