    Titles and Suffixes

Trying to get a sense of whether other organizations are making periods part of the suffixes and titles in their database or if they are not.

Under configuration, addresses and salutations, you can create your addressee templates and from this you can insert your periods.  If you go to this screen and hit F1 (help) it will tell you how to set this up.

    Hi Michelle.

We do use periods in our titles and suffixes. We also use a comma in the suffix.

As mentioned in another reply if the table entries are not the way you would like them, you can do table cleanup in Configuration. The process is very easy and quick.

    Re: Titles and Suffixes

We, also, use punctuation in titles and suffixes (we do not use a comma before Roman Numerals.)  I know that you can configure RE to add a period, and that will work OK within RE but if you export the middle name, for example, you will not get the period.  That's why we do not use configuration for punctuation.
