    Old prospect research data?

I have some old prospect research data - values of homes, boats, estimated household income, etc. from the early to mid 90's.  No one at my organization is using it.

What's your opinion - should we keep this info on file, or should we delete it?  How does your organization handle old prospect research data points?

I'm torn - my "keep everything" data-minded self says there's some value in holding on to an old data point, as you may build on it later.  On the other hand, my "clean up everything" data-minded self says there's no value in a data point that is outdated and no one is using.

     Thanks for your thoughts,

    Faith

I would ask your organisation if this type of information was up to date would they use it?  i.e. are they not using it at the moment as it is out of date or because they do not value that type of data?  If the latter, then I would delete it, if the former, then update the information you have.

    Thanks
