We have recently upgraded to NC v5.6 which includes the use of a payment part for our event registration fees, but since using this part the Event registration fee does not download in to the Registration fee tab on the Event participant record. Also it records the Event participant record as 'do not register' and adds the participant registering as a Guest. This means the Event participant record has to be amended manually. All worked fine before using this payment part!!
Has anyone else had the same problem?
We also have a problem with fees being placed on guest records.

We have complained to Blackbaud about this 'design decision' - hopefully if enough people have an issue with it they will change it back in a future upgrade.
I have only set up events requiring registration fees within NetCommunity 5.1, but the scenario here is the second one that Sharon states. So it doesn't appear to be the 5.6 upgrade that introduced this.
Our procedure for adding registration fees manually (paid by cheque etc) would be to put all registration fees for guests on the registrant record, as that individual is effectively the billpayer. I was just prepared to accept that NetCommunity registrations would be slightly different.
I guess what we all want from Blackbaud is consistency across product upgrades, or at least a good reason behind unexpected changes.
