Does anyone know how (if) I can append data to an existing file.  I've done a participant query, which allows me to output almost everything I need but I'd like to also have specific phones listed.  The participant query simply dumps all phones listed.  I feel like I've done this before but maybe it was a previous lifetime?!

Query is not a reporting tool. 

You should always group the information you need using query but then bring that query to export to get the data out that you want.

Now that you've grouped the records you need, you should use export.  That will allow you to create an excel file and will give you the option to select which phone types and how many you want to be exported.
