I need to make calls to donors who have given their 25th gift and this gift brings their total over $500, This hasn't been done yet this year so I need to know who has reached this mark since January 01, 2009. I keep trying but I don't seem to be getting the right information. I am doing a summary query. Is that what I should be doing?
Sounds like a merged query would be easiest (merge operator AND) the first with the criteria summary for gift: Total number of gifts >= 25 & summary for gift amount > $500 the second query being gift date >= January 1, 2009
Karol - I would use Summary for Total Amount of Gifts with the criteria of Greater than or equal to $500 and Gift Date greater than or equal to 1/1/09. That should work for you! What info is it giving you that doesn't seem "right"??
Hi Karol,
Have you tried this:
Summary Information - Summary for Gift - Total Amount Greater Than or Equal to $500
On the Filter tab of that field indicate any specific gift types or other requirements of the gifts to be included
AND Summary Information - Summary for Gift - Total Number of Gifts Greater Than or Equal to 25
If you need to exclude anyone who reached this milestone prior to 1/1/09, I would build a separate query of:
Summary Information - Summary for Gift - Total Number of Gifts Greater Than or Equal to 25
On the Filter tab of that field indicate Gift Date Less Than 1/1/09 (this way it will total only the prior gifts)
You can then merge the two queries with them selected as Primary and Secondary respectively and then use the Operator SUB. You will be left with only those donors who have qualified since the 1/1/09 cutoff date.
I hope you find this helpful,
Naomi
Sorry Karol! I missed your condition of 25+ gifts...Naomi's suggestion will be better :)
