Has anyone experienced problems with EE 7.77 client and Internet Explorer 8.0?

    Has anyone experienced problems with EE 7.77 client and Internet Explorer 8.0?

    Has anyone had difficulty with the EE 7.77 client after installing IE 8.0?  We had a staff member whose EE client suddenly started repeatedly crashing out of the blue.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the client did not help, but after uninstalling IE 8.0 and installing 7.0, the problems disappeared.  BB Tech support did not have any information except to say that they are still testing IE 8.0 and that the new EE version, 7.78, will probably be the first version to be 'certified' to work with IE 8.0 when running in Compatibility View mode - at least for FAWeb and NetClassroom.  However, the EE Installation Planning Guide specifically states that "The Education Edge uses Microsoft Internet Explorer technology extensively throughout the program," so I am wondering if IE 8.0 causes problems that Blackbaud hasn't yet uncovered.
