have you ever surveyed your donors?

    Wondering if anyone has ever done a survey of current donors. 

    If so what methods did you use, (i.e, mailing, phone, email)?

    Have anyone done a newsletter donor survey?  What's the response rate? 

    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    About five years ago, we did one by mail to our donors.  We randomly picked about !,500 donors from our 13,000 active donor list.  We asked questions about how often they got our newsletter, content, what they thought of the agency and its mission.  And we got about 500 back; somewhere around a third.

     We are currently developing one that will be an online version, so I would be curious if you get any good information.
