I need to segment a group of donations into a total number of gifts in a gift amount range.  Let me explain: I need to isolate all constituents who have given to the 2007 Annual appeal in their gift history.  I then need a total number of gifts within each range.  My gift ranges are: 0-99.99, 100-249.99, 250-249.99 and >=500.  How can I accomplish this?  Do I use query or reports, etc.?

 I think what you may be looking for is the Donor Category Report. You can specify the appeal and it gives total number of gifts for each range. Good Luck

It sounds like what you need is the Statiscal Report broken down by Gift Size.   This report is in Demographic and Statistical reports.  You would start with a query of the people you want in your report.  Then use that query in the Statistical report.  On the Field tab, choose to use Gift Size as the field.  There is one trick.  You have to tell the system what gift size ranges you use.  You do this in Config->Tables -> Gift Size Analysis Codes table.  I hope that helps!
