Hi Folks,
I want to utilize the canned reminder mail task for pledged registration fees, but it doesn't appear that event registration fields are available on the fields to include tab. Should I even create a pledge record and link it to the registration in the participant record? Should I simply record it in a participant record that has an unpaid registration? In which case, is there a different mail task available to merge the registration fees and the benefits assocaited with the registration category?
Anyone come up with a work around? An export?

This all depends on your own internal policies for creating pledges. Do you have something in writing that the constituent pledged to pay the $$. If so, you probably can enter a pledge. It is one way to do it and I can not think of another way off hand.

Thanks for your reply. We have a verbal committment between the event director and the sponsor/patron. The event director complete a form, then I process it. I think I'll stick with the pledge record so I can use the reminder mail task. I'm currently linking the pledge record to the registration, and then I will link the pledge payment as well. I don't know how this will play out in the end, ie how it will affect reporting etc. Are you linking both pledge and payment to your registrations? Thanks,
If there is a written pledge then, yes, I do link both the pledge and payments to the registration.
