Has anybody ever taken the one-day course called The Essentials of Crystal Reports offered by CompuMaster?  And, if so, was it helpful?

I haven't but need to investigate training beyond what BB offers.  I'm starting to research the classes that New Horizons offers (level 10 or level 20).  If anyone out there has any experience with either CompuMaster, New Horizons or other training I'd love to hear about it.

Did you get any responses to your request?  Were you able to find a Crystal Reports training?  Did you take the Blackbaud Training?  Was it helpful?  Can you suggest a training?

I didn't take the training.  We just didn't have the money in the budget and I didn't have the time.

 It was really trial and error.  I have working with a report writer (years ago) so I have a basic familiarity with report writers.  The part I had difficulty understanding is, you have to export the query, then create the report outside of Crystal reports.  Then in Blackbaud, under Reports, you point to the report on your drive. I was concerned that the data wouldn't be updated if I ran the report 6 months from now but that didn't seem to be a problem.

 Are you very familiar with databases?  If not, you'll have a tough time with the field names in crystal reports
