    Crystal Report Gift Attribute

    Hi there -

    I am running a report on incoming gifts for the month - grouped by Fund, gift amount, type, date, Last name, name, gift attribute comment.

    All looks fine - until I add the gift attribute comment field - then all the information in the report disappears.

    The fields are all linked, I tried different query and report types, all of no avail.

    Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

    My first guess would be that it’s because gift attribute can be a multi-valued field.  I've always had to do subreports on multi-valued fields.

    You need to change the join type on your attributes table to a LEFT OUTER JOIN.  Check out the following Knowledgebase articles: BB339584 and BB351272.

    Re: Crystal Report Gift Attribute

    Had changed tables to left outer join - of no avail. I was told that this field can't be exported  for reporting, and it is on the wishlist. Will check out the articles - thanks.
