    The 'economic bailout' signed by President Bush revives the Pension Protection Act (PPA).  Allowing for direct gifts from IRAs to your organization, the PPA is now effective for 'qualified charitable distributions' from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009. 

    Does anyone share this information with their donors?  If so, how are you updating the information.  Any thoughts would be great.  Thanks so much!

     We did twhen the act was originally passed in 2006 and we are again now that it has been extended.  We're sending a postcard to anybody in our database who is close to 70.  We purchased the postcard from a mail house, Pentera.  There are many such companies to choose from.
