    Crystal Report suppress formula

    Hello,

My colleague and I are revising a good Crystal Report - Our source data contains duplicates (for a variety of reasons, which we're not planning to address right now). (Before this, we've been manually de-duping the Access database...no comments please!) Thus we're needing to write a formula to suppress the duplicate records from view in a subreport, and to suppress the records from our sum fields.

Here's the basics of what we want to suppress:

If {Gift Import ID} is not unique AND {Assigned Solicitor Date To} is not blank, then suppress record from view or from sum.

Could you kindly advise on how to write this formula so that Crystal can understand and implement it?

    Many thanks,
    Faith

    Re: Crystal Report suppress formula

    Hi Faith,

I'm a CR novice so I'm not sure I can help construct the formula, but I did want to mention (in case you don't know) that there is a function in a field's properties that suppresses duplicates. Maybe you've already ruled it out, but if you didn't know about it already maybe it's just the thing for you.

Also - this forum is a great resource so I highly recommend using it, but another place I might go if with this kind of question is to the Craiglist forum on computer issues.

    Good luck!
