    Tracking Changes

Does anyone know if it is possible to track changes that are made in RE 7 by other users?

One possibility might be a query.  You can query on 'last changed by" and select a user for bio info, gift info, relationship info... You can also incorporate in criteria or output options info for "date last changed."

    Re: Tracking Changes

Im also looking to create some sort of a query but Im having a problem and Im not sure how to solve it.  We enter all of our gifts in batches.  We have a team of data entry staff who enter the data but another individual who commits the batches so once the gifts are committed it of course says that the gifts were last created by the individual who committed the batch.  Does anyone know of any way to be able to track who had entered the gifts?  We are trying to create a data entry performance spreadsheet and I can't figure a way in Raiser's Edge to be able to pull the data I need.  Any thoughts?

    Re: Tracking Changes

    Amy,

This is just a possibility - as our batch 'creation' and 'commit' are done by same person I can't tell for sure.  On the batch screen there's a column for who created the batch.  I am assuming that does not change if a different person commits batch but I can't verify that. If it has the name of your data entry person you could do a query of gifts/donors in that batch or set a procedure of creating a query when batch is committed.

Otherwise, I think I would have data entry person enter their name/initials/assigned #/code in batch description so I could tell who entered the gifts and create query when committed so that I could just pull queries.

    Good luck.
