We import grades and comments from FAWeb into BB. We just finished the third quarter grades and I spent hours upon hours editing the teachers comments. Does anyone have a suggestion to get rid of the spelling errors and make them all look the same....no spaces/dashes etc. Help!

Changing a "waitlist" status

Scenario: A student has applied for grade 12. They are put on waitlist as there are no current places available. No spots open up during the year. They are now finished grade 12 at another school. Their status at our school is still "waitlist". I do not want to delete the record and DNCP is not correct as they did complete the application process. I just need to know what status other schools use to finalize this file. Thanks.

Interim marking columns for doing mid-quarter progress reports

We are planning to standardize and centralize the producing of mid-quarter progress reports. This will be done by creating interim marking columns which teachers will enter grades in when logged on to Faculty Access for the Web. Does anyone have experience in this area?

Attendance Help

We need some help from a school that would possibly allow for a couple of us to visit over the summer to see how you process attendance, to help out our attendance office. Possibly to get some tips on R.O. We are in the Chicagoland area and would prefer something within driving distance, train... We use version 6, if you can help please advise, our attendance office is working way around the reports, and I have not had a lot of time to explore BBD yet this year for more than my own work.

We are a high school of almost 800 students, and we are trying to refine our attendance procedures in the front office. I am looking for someone willing to share their daily procedures with us. We take period attendance and the teachers enter attendance by period through Faculty Access for the web. I would like to know what reports are run daily and how you follow through on any discrepancies. I am basically interested in the attendance clerk's daily routine. Does anyone out there have any help? Thanks

I would love to see job descriptions for other Registrar's if you are willing to share. I have a dual role, Registar/US Admin Asst, but have been charged with the implementation and maintenance of the Registrar's package from configuration to scheduling, grade reporting to Faculty Access training, etc. I have a feeling that these jobs are parcelled out in other schools. How does your school handle the use of Registrar's as far as division of labor, authority, etc? Is your Registrar an administrator with concurrent authority that supervises the implementation/use of the system, or is that person strictly a user? Do you have a tech person in charge of the configuration? What about updates and faculty/staff training? I'd love to hear from you.... Thanks.

I have been a Database Admin consultant in Raiser's Edge and worked in the industry for 10 years. Recently, I was trained in Education Edge 7.5x and found it to be very process driven. With respect to the Registrar's duties, is there a standardized job description or are the tasks contingent on the school's business model (assuming that they have one)?

Does anyone out there take attendance by period and print it out on one page? I have a crystal I export to but now Blackbaud has limited by export fields so I cannot use all the fields we want on the report.

Importing SAT / ACT scores

Does anyone import SAT / ACT scores from the disk provided by College Board? Do you have instructions on how to do that? The Knowledgebase says it has been filed as a suggestion. Also, do you import PSAT and PLAN scores?

For those users that are using Admissions/Registrar AND Raiser's Edge with Academy Manager, I have a question for you! What type of process do you have in place for the entering of Faculty/Staff into Registrar and Raiser's Edge. Do you have to duplicate your work? MM/YY test date format is unavailabe in Records Management in Registrar's office. SAT and ACT test formats usually are reported in this format. How do others handle this?

Student Pictures

Attendance
