Are any MAW chapters succussfully using a 'moves management' approach to cultivate/steward donors??

An easy/quick way to pull very compelling info from RE

Hello all,

Have you ever thought to yourself... How is my Annual Campaign doing year over year? Are we generally stronger on donor retention or donor acquisition? Are we doing enough cultivation to grow the constituent base we already have? Are our efforts helping us fund more wishes? How does my association compare to my peers?

These questions (among others) can be answered very easily by utilizing your RE data. The answers come in the form of the Fundraising Effectiveness Plug-In. In conjunction with AFP, you are able to find trends and stats within your own data, as well as being able to send that over to AFP to be benchmarked to your peers. It's as easy as accessing "Plug Ins" within RE and choosing the option Fundraising Effectiveness Project Plug In. I have attached a short document to assist you in reading and consuming this data.

So after you've analyzed this quick data, I ask you one question. "Are you surprised by your findings?" Please post something about your findings that you never knew or really surprised you.

Training Feedback for MAW Chapters

This Forum thread will serve as a space for folks to post comments about the training classes that have been taken by the MAW Chapters...

If you have taken a class, please make a point to comment on:

What class and format; e.g. Regional, Online, eLearning
What you liked, what you didn't
What is relevant to MAW chapters / process
Would you recommend to other chapters... if so, is there a specific role that it fits; e.g. Event Coordinator, Wish Manager etc.

Thanks in advance. I think this will be really helpful for other chapters who are evaluating training options.

Riding for Wishes - Michigan MAW Does Good!!

Congrats to MAW Michigan for succeeding in their annual signature event, Wish-A-Mile 300 Bicycle Tour, last weekend.

They raised $1.6M through their sponsorships and team fund raising efforts! Even in the tough Michigan economy, event revenue increased by $300K over the 2007 WAM event.

Entering gifts that come in from a WALK fundraiser...

Hello, we have had Raiser's Edge since the middle of March 2008. We had a huge fundraiser (Twilight Walk for Wishes) on May 18th. My question is, what is the best way to capture and link Team Captains with the Team Walkers and the money/pledges that were raised by the Team Walkers? I want to be able to link all money to the respective Team Walker and the Team Captain. If any of you have experienced entering this three-person connection, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.
