&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;We are experiencing a problem with the Flash slide show that we want to put
on our home page. Flash show contains two&amp;nbsp;SWF files. The first one shows the
images and rotates through them and other one plays YouTube videos if you click
on the slide image. I successfully created a flash part and it looked great
and&amp;nbsp;whenever I updated the xml file (that controls the show) it worked fine.
Only&amp;nbsp;part that didn&amp;#39;t work is playing the YouTube video. Somehow&amp;nbsp;the first SWF
slide show doesn&amp;#39;t seem to&amp;nbsp;connect to the second&amp;nbsp;SWF file.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Someone suggested that I should implement the show through a formatted text
and images part, so I pasted the following&amp;nbsp;code into one, using swfobject.js to
make it work:&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;font color="#800080"&gt;&amp;lt;script&amp;nbsp;language=&amp;quot;javascript&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;src=&amp;quot;http://www.foundation.fsu.edu/main/Scripts/swfobject.js&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;type=&amp;quot;text/javascript&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;lt;div&amp;nbsp;id=&amp;quot;TableHomeFlash&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;You&amp;nbsp;need&amp;nbsp;to&amp;nbsp;upgrade&amp;nbsp;your&lt;br /&gt;Flash&amp;nbsp;Player&amp;lt;/strong&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;This&amp;nbsp;is&amp;nbsp;replaced&amp;nbsp;by&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;Flash&amp;nbsp;content.&lt;br /&gt;Place&amp;nbsp;your&amp;nbsp;alternate&amp;nbsp;content&amp;nbsp;here&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;users&amp;nbsp;without&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;Flash&amp;nbsp;plugin&amp;nbsp;or&lt;br /&gt;with&amp;nbsp;Javascript&amp;nbsp;turned&amp;nbsp;off&amp;nbsp;will&amp;nbsp;see&amp;nbsp;this.&amp;nbsp;Content&amp;nbsp;here&amp;nbsp;allows&amp;nbsp;you&amp;nbsp;to&lt;br /&gt;leave&amp;nbsp;out&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;code&amp;gt;noscript&amp;lt;/code&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;tags.&amp;nbsp;Include&amp;nbsp;a&amp;nbsp;link&amp;nbsp;to&lt;br /&gt;&amp;lt;a&amp;nbsp;href=&amp;quot;swfobject.html?detectflash=false&amp;quot;&amp;gt;bypass&amp;nbsp;the&lt;br /&gt;detection&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;if&amp;nbsp;you&amp;nbsp;wish.&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;/div&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;lt;script&amp;nbsp;type=&amp;quot;text/javascript&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;/*&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;![CDATA[&amp;nbsp;*/&lt;br /&gt;var&amp;nbsp;so&amp;nbsp;=&amp;nbsp;new&lt;br /&gt;SWFObject(&amp;quot;http://www.mydomain.org/slideshow/HomePageImageRotation.swf&amp;quot;,&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;TableHomeFlash&amp;quot;,&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;908&amp;quot;,&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;345&amp;quot;,&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;6&amp;quot;,&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;#336699&amp;quot;);&lt;br /&gt;so.addParam(&amp;quot;wmode&amp;quot;,&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;transparent&amp;quot;);&lt;br /&gt;so.write(&amp;quot;TableHomeFlash&amp;quot;);&lt;br /&gt;/*&amp;nbsp;]]&amp;gt;*/&lt;br /&gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;The primary SWF works well enough, but&amp;nbsp;I am still having the same problem
where the linked YouTube video does not work.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;The third thing I tried was to put it all into a frame part.&amp;nbsp; Everything
works great except that the menu part drops its menus beneath the frame!&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;I have two questions: &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;1 - What is the best method to put up a multiple SWF flash project? &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;2 - How can I make the menus drop-down on top of the Frame part instead of
under it?&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Thanks,&lt;/div&gt;

Would any of you NCG users be be willing to share with me:

1. Did Blackbaud deliver on all aspects of their proposal to you?

2. Did you experience any hidden or unexpected costs relating to NetCommunity Grow implementation?

3. Has NetCommunity Grow met your expectations?

Thank you so much for your assistance.

We&amp;#39;re about to begin work with BBNC in creating new skins (e.g. layouts) for a new&amp;nbsp;look and feel of our site that reflects the Web site of the main hospital (the main hospital doesn&amp;#39;t use NetCommunity).&amp;nbsp;For the most part, our&amp;nbsp;content remains the same--we&amp;#39;re just changing the skins which requires new layouts and templates to fit within those layouts&amp;nbsp;and contain our page content (text and image parts). We are working with our BBNC client manager on this solution but there are so many questions yet to be addressed. The big challenge is that I&amp;#39;m a fundraising professional, not a Web expert, and so it&amp;#39;s hard for me to know what exactly has to be done and how it&amp;#39;s done. The main question we&amp;#39;re dealing with is creating a test environment on one of our servers where we can refine and apply the new skins to the entire site and then make adjustments as needed--all the while our current site remains up (BBNC doesn&amp;#39;t include a test or developmental environment). Then, when finally we&amp;#39;re happy with the test site look, we&amp;nbsp;go live. I still haven&amp;#39;t figured out how you go live from the test site in a way that preserves current URLs (we have many inbound links that we need to keep up) and keeps us in sync with Raiser&amp;#39;s Edge. Perhaps it&amp;#39;s just an issue of the test site index (with the new skins) overwriting the live index--just as you can overwrite one Microsoft Word document with another bearing the same name. I&amp;#39;m wondering if any one out there has gone through a BBNC skin flip and set up their own test environment to do so. How did the transition from the test server to the live server go and what exactly did you do throughout the process? Feel free to e-mail me offline at wyatt.hornsby at uhhospitals dot org.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Thanks!&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
