    RE Outlook Toolbar

I the IT Support Tech at my company where RE is used by our development team.  One of the user's RE Outlook Toolbar is malfunctioning.  The "Add Action" button disappeared from the new message window.  And when she tries to add/remove a button from the toolbar, all of the options are greyed out.

Has anyone experienced this before?  Is there a way to reinstall only the outlook integration portion of RE?

Thank you very much in advance for any help or advice you can offer!

First, I would check to see if that particular add-in is checked in outlook(in 2007 it's under "Trust Center") and if it is I would then uninstall/ remove the "Blackbaud RE7 Outlook add-in" from Outlook and then install/ add it back in.

    Hope that helps,

    Re: RE Outlook Toolbar

This happens to some of our PC's every couple of weeks or so.

When I brought this up in an RE User Group, they had never heard of it happening. Our IT guys are confused as to why it happens.

If a solution is found - please post it!!

    Re: RE Outlook Toolbar

We also used to suffer from this all the time. The Com Add-in used to drop out all the time (usually the result of accepting meeting requests), and if we tried to add it back in it just wouldn't stay. We were told that in order for it to stick, anyone using it would have to be given either Admin rights (not likely to be happen with most IT depts) or power users. Once we gave all our users Power User rights it seems to have solved the problem (and moving from version 7.81 to 7.84 helped too...)

    Hope this helps.
