    Job Summary:
    ·         Responsible for facilitating the design, maintenance, and use of the City Year’s centralized donor database, coordinating the use of this and other database resources throughout the organization.
    ·         Supports fundraising efforts through systems, infrastructure and ensures compliance with financial revenue and collection policies, goals and procedures to advance a comprehensive program.
    ·         Responsible for managing, guiding and training the City Year development staff on Raiser’s Edge and the Researcher’s Edge through Desktop to Desktop Publishing and during City Year’s annual training academy.
    ·         Oversee the maintenance of all development systems and manage the process of RE system upgrades 
    Systems Training and Implementation:  
    ·         Train all site Raiser’s Edge Users on database based on their usage level
    ·         Investigate NetMeeting software, working with IT, so that trainers can see and control remote user’s desktops – conduct quarterly trainings for staff across the network  
    ·         Organize conference calls in conjunction with the Bi-weekly Development Calls with the RE users enterprise wide to roll out new policies and review old ones, when necessary
    ·         Train and SAIL the usage of the Raiser’s Edge Events Module and the Mail feature for systematic invoicing 
    Custom Reporting:
    ·         Create and maintain custom reports through Crystal Reports
    ·         Periodically test all reports the Raiser’s Edge
    ·         Utilize all reporting features available that will progress the organization.  
    Other Initiatives:
    ·         Facilitate process for RE users to make suggestions on how to better use RE, share best practices, and make requests for reports that could be used by all sites.
    ·         Update documentation on entering constituents, gifts, proposals, using reports, etc.
    ·         Formally conduct database integrity projects to identify problem areas such as duplicate entries, proposal entry problems, etc.
    ·         Delete unused reports, queries, exports that are cluttering the system.
    ·         Other projects as assigned 
     Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent prior experience; understanding of national service and education a plus.
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge and Crystal Reports required; knowledge of The Researcher’s Edge a plus.
    • Knowledge of Visual Basics a plus 
    • The ability to manage a high volume of donor transactions and be productive in a fast paced multitasked environment.
    • Strong verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively.
    • High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative.
    • Strong passion for and commitment to City Year’s mission of delivering high-impact service to children and institutions in Boston communities; developing young people in the corps as powerful civic leaders and lifelong active citizens, and promoting and advancing the concept of voluntary national service
