    required memberships for volunteers

Our volunteers are required to have a membership. I often do queries and exports to see which volunteer's membership has lapsed. Right now, spouses that are both volunteers (just a handfull of people) share a membership as well as one record. If we do change the way we do things and make two records, is there a way to query on if their membership is current? Can you query if a spouse has a current membership?

Or would this be more trouble than it's worth and a mess of duplicate records and mailings... I understand mailing to head of household, but is there a head of household membership? How do other membership organizations do this?

Hi, Dana. I'm not seeing a way to directly query on constituents who have a spouse with a current membership, but BB224309 suggests steps that you could modify for your objective (make a backup first):
    1. Globally add a constituency code (BB15767) to the query of Current Member
    2. Create a constituent query. On the Output tab, select:
Spouse, Constituency, Constituency Code one of Current Member

    Hope this helps!
