We are currently hosting the Raisers Edge software locally opposed to having BlackBaud host the software. We are running into many bumps in the road in regards to software compatibility. It seems that the Raisers Edge software does not play well with other applications. We've had to systematically un-install local user applications because certain parts of Raisers Edge will not function well.
I am looking to link up with an institution who has decided to host Raisers Edge locally on their own servers and talk about bumps in the road that they have encountered. Please get in touch with me

Hi,
We have RE installed locally and have for 9 years now. We have only run into one software compatibility issue with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Everything else has played nicely with RE.
Since I am just around the corner at Worcester State, I'd be happy to talk to you even though I haven't had any issues.

Hi Laura,
I realize this post is a little old. We are looking at getting Dragon Speak but before doing so, I was wondering if you could relay those software compatibility issues with RE and Dragon Speak.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Spencer,
With Dragon installed, if you are writing a note and save and close it, it minimizes the main record and you have to click it open. A minor irritant. That's the direct quote from the person who has RE & Dragon Naturally Speaking installed. I think he is the only user who has both. I imagine it could be a pain if you had a lot of notes to write.
Other than that, no other issues.
HTH,
